    HI
Any ideas how to split the video signal between a PJ & the pioneer 504 , i dont need both at same time
i use the Denon av1sr amp to switch inputs at the moment
I asked Pioneer at the show yesterday & they said use the S link on the media box to the PJ & use the umbilical lead to the plasma
But then i wouldent be able to use PScan from the dvd to the PJ
    any suggestions
    P@T

    Hello P@T

There are quite a few YUV video splitters used in the AV market - though none are very low cost (and those that are are usually pretty low quality).

There are a couple of US sourced units that you can personal import - they are not CE approved so UK resellers cant supply them.

In the AV World when were planning a system and want something that's decent quality but affordable we usually turn to Kramer Electronics.

Kramer have just introduced the VS-21 which is a low cost 'passive' manual 3 channel video switcher - see http://www.kramerelectronics.com/indexes/desc.asp?p=VS-21

(Note it can be used in 'reverse' so whist its designed as a 2:1 it can equally be used as a 1:2 switch).

And if you want something that's active with buffered outputs look at the VP-123V. See http://www.kramerelectronics.com/indexes/desc.asp?p=VP-123V

    Best regards

    Joe

PS If you want a really high end switch then look at the AutoPatch PrecisHT ; I use AutoPatch at home when testing kit. See http://www.autopatch.com/precisht.htm (PS its not entry level!).
