It takes a really good game to get me hooked and Splinter Cell did just that!!
Can anyone tell me is there a game as good that can get me hooked!!
Ghost Recon by Tom Clancy, anywhere near as good??

MetalGear Solid 2 "Substance" has me hooked.

I really liked Ghost Recon too.

How does Ghost Recon compare with Splinter Cell then. Are the graphics and playability as good. Also do you have to go interactive on it.

My mate is lending me Metal Gear 2, but said it very easy and completed it in 12 hours. Don't know if you have the same opinion.

    Cheers JSW!!

    Ok fair comment.
Will probably hire out Ghost Recon first just in case.

I've got Ghost Recon, but haven't played Splinter Cell (though I think I want it...).

I've played Ghost Recon quite a bit & find it generally a good game, but with some fairly major annoyances. Movement can feel quite "clunky" (possibly due to slow-down), I don't think the graphics are too briliant, and it has loads of "invisible walls".
When I compare it to "Hidden & Dangerous" on the Dreamcast, I'm afraid this comes a poor second. Unlike H&D, this doesn't allow you to pick individual weapons & ammo from an overall pool (based on weight), and doesn't allow soldiers to pick up & use items from enemies or fallen comrades.

That aside, the good gameplay allows you to overlook much of this, but I can't quite understand the comments from people previously along the lines of "If you've got an XBox, you must get this!"
