Okay, I'm now officially very excited about Splinter Cell 2.

    http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/pandoratomorrow/preview_6086236.html

I only had three real issues with the first game. Firstly, it was very linear. Which actually didn't bother me that much. Let's make it two issues. Firstly, the minor issue of the primary weapon. Basically, it just didn't feel or sound very satisfying to kill anyone in Splinter Cell. Even the "gun butt to the head" non-lethal knock out was a bit poo. I'd have prefered an 80's movie neck twist ending. Ho Hum.

Whilst the linear nature of the levels didn't bother me to much, having to retrace my steps to hide a body in the darkness in order to progress in a level is just extremely dull. Realism is great but not at the expense of gameplay.

Online play in SC2 sounds very well thought out. I'm already salivating at the thought of killing heavily armed terrorists whilst hanging upside down from a convenient drainpipe :p

By the way, Rainbow Six 3 is still excellent you golfing / driving monkeys! :nono:

Well there was a quote from Ubisoft a while back when they annouced Pandora tomorrow that this was a side story type game and a true sequel will arrive next year with all new graphics engine blah blah etc.

Fair enough, looks as though some game distributors have just assumed that this is Splinter Cell 2. Still cant wait to play this one though, looks quite good.

I'm glad they made the graphics good and then scaled them down for gc/ps2.

I hate it when you get a multi-format game designed for ps2 and they don't bother making it look good for the gamecube/xbox.

 Like dynasty warriors for example.

Defintatly looking forward to playing it live.

Games i'm most looking forward to are dead or alive online and tenchu 3 online.

    Both look stupendous!
