splash dvd have £1 off everything in stock just now
Be more to the point if they sorted out the mess from their last sale before starting another one
People have outstanding orders from their last sale.
IMO I would not bother, unless you are willing to wait over a month.
I'm still waiting on a fair amount that I ordered last time. Also their customer service is terrible - they don't reply to emails. They also haven't done squat about a damaged item they sent me, which I returned to them about 2 weeks ago!
In future I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
thanks for the warning, i was about to order once more with feeling but i'll get it soemwhere else now
This might help: http://www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk/
Always worth considering places like CD-WOW and Choices Direct - excellent customer service.
yeah thanks , I already use pricecheck, cd-wow (hk site), future entertainment & play
It applies to only the DVDs listed here:
which I guess are the 'in stock' ones.
Splash are well known for delaying items that are meant to be in stock as well, so you can't rely on the in-stock DVDs coming any sooner than others.
It's never bothered me, so direct your comments elsewhere Sir
I'm directing them at the vast majority of people who are bothered, good sir
Still waiting for Colplay 5.49. not bad. But they have 5.49 and i
Still I am a patient man. Do not use splash if you cannot wait over
I waited about a month for one of the four disks ordered during their £2 off everthing offer, but at those prices I have no complaint with the delay, plus they were good enough to e-mail me and apologize for the wait as they were swamped with orders. They even offered me a refund if I cancelled my order as they could not fill it in time.
I will definitely use them again.
Well done Splash.
I ordered 4 titles during their last sale. Three of the titles arrived 17 days after they took the money from my account. The fourth title was listed as out of stock and initialy they didn't take the money. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that they had taken the money for the fourth title even though it was still showing as out of stock on their site.
I phoned last Tuesday (not Easter weekend) to query this and was told that it was in stock and would be dispatched on Thursday. It wasn't dispatched so I phoned again on Friday. Again I was assured that it was in stock and would be dispatched that day. It wasn't. Nor was it dispatched Saturday or Monday.
On Tuesday I phoned again and was told that the title wasn't in stock. I asked why they had told me on two occasions that it was in stock. They couldn't answer. I asked why the had taken my money some eleven days earlier for an item not in stock. They said it was "for my reassurance", so that I would know that my order was receiving attention.
I cancelled my order.

What an excellent excuse.
Next time someone gives me some money to buy them an ice cream or something I'll just put it in my pocket and walk away, thus reassuring them that their request is getting my full attention.
Funny how the last outstanding item from my order that I've been waiting about 5 weeks for is on their site listed as being shipped "within 72 hours". The bounders.
I ordered three titles during their £2 off sale (A Few Good Men CE £5.99, Jerry Maguire 2 disk £5.99, and The Edge £4.99) received all of the titles within a week of placing the order.

A comment is only libellous if its untrue. Twice Splash assured me that the title was in stock. They eventually admitted that is wasn't in stock and never had been. They lied to me, period. I've got no problem defending that statement anywhere and to anyone because I know it to be true.
I'll add a signature with my name for future posts.
I understand your annoyance, there is nothing worse than inaccurate information provided to keep a sale.
My experience is similar to others here, but I found warnings so knew what to expect.
I ordered 2 disks massively cheaper than anywhere expecting 2 - 3 weeks. They arrived after approximately 4 weeks.
But for the price I am willing to just wait and assume eventual delivery.
I am just about to order another couple of disks in the sale, I'll be up to date with the disks I keep ordering from CD-WOW by the time they get here !
I still haven't recieved one of my dvds from the last sale. It's been "dispatched" twice, and I still haven't recieved it yet.
As this seems to have turned into a general "Splash comments" thread, I think it's time to close it
