A half price sale is all well and good, but if I order will I actually see the goods I order.

I ordered Family Guy Series 3 and LOTR 2 Towers 4 weeks ago, and I still havn't seen any sign of Family guy. 2 towers is out in August, but I expect mine to come sometime in November.

    Best Avoided in my opinion.

Asking this for a mate of mine :

I don't suppose anyone managed to order multiple copies of the original
1960's Time Machine that was available on Splash last night for £3.50 . I
saw it , checked the actual package was the one , went back 30 secs later to
buy & it was gone .!!
Looking to buy a copy if any available .
    TIA

How did you get Excalibur for half price as it doesn't show up on the stock list noted above?

I can't find any of the titles that people have listed above. I supposed they must be running out of stock and being removed from the order page ?

All that is left is tat which usually go for cheap prices anyway

I placed an order last night for 4 DVDs totaling £19. Are Splash likely to send them together and if so will I get hit by customs?

I would send an email to Splash to ask but they have never responded to my emails in the past.

Why would customs hit you as they are R2 discs going to you (Scotland)?

Got an email saying my discs have been despatched!
    Not bad at all!

These orders should be despatched more or less immediately , it is a warehouse clearance after all so one would assume that they have them in in order to get rid of them .
Then again it is Splash who we are dealing with.

AFAIK the region is entirely irrelevant. What matters is the cost of the order and the fact that they are coming in from outside the UK meaning that anything over £18 in value will be liable for VAT and import duty. Hence my concern on this order.

    Thanks

I think they come from Jersey!

I know that postage from the UK to Jersey costs the same as ordinary UK postage as I posted a parcel back to Splash on Monday, via 1st class, recorded delivery and had to pay no more than UK postage!

Just checked with the Royal Mail site and they class Jersey as a part of the UK! Hence no custom charges!

    Thanks

Thanks for that Little Badger, I didn't know that.

Just one possible problem though, the Royal Mail may class Jersey as the UK but it's Customs and Excise that count and there is no VAT paid on goods from Splash is there?

    In the T&C for Splash:

I've bought large boxsets from Splash in the past (over the £18.00 limit) and I've never had to pay customs on them!

Splash usually send multiple orders individually so I don't think you'll have any problems!

    Daneel,

Jersey is outside of the EU for Customs & Excise purposes, but
VAT is included in the prices. Splash put a sticker on anything above £18 that says "VAT Paid" (I know from experience).
