Hi mick23. I have just got a Denon 3802 and am also in the process of setting up the levels. It is fairly easy to do, however the manual does make it sound like rocket science. Just set the remote to Amp. Press the reciever button on the remote until the AMP word appears. Press setup. A menu appears. Go down the list setting things as you go.Press enter at the end of each section to store the changes. The speaker distance settings and levels in this sub menu are global and effect all sound settings. Take your spl meter readings here not in any speacialist DSP modes. Remember to take the first reading on the SPL meter from either your main front left or right speaker and set the volume using the volume control to show 75db on the meter. Then set all other speakers keeping the volume button untouched.
Hope this helps. Its a good amp the 3802, do you agree??
