Apparently Spielberg has just started work on his next project. A so-far untiled account of the events of the 1972 Munich Olympics.

This was a story that was going to get told at some point. He's the right man to do it imo.

If they take much longer with this movie, half the budget will be blown on CGI-ing Harrison's zimmer frame out of the shots!

He's doing the Munich film, working title "Vengeance", then a Lincoln Bio-Pic with Liam Neeson, then Indy 4 pencilled in for Autumn 2006 shoot. Busy man.

He's actually in Malta filming it now as I type (just updated my website).

Hope they're still there when I get there in a couple of weeks.
If so then it'll only be the second time I've been there when a major Hollywood film was being filmed, the other being Gladiator in 1999.

    More info....

Looks like it's focusing on the aftermath and the hunt for the terrorists by the Israeli Mossad agents (lead by Eric Bana, who was in Malta a few years ago in the dreadful Troy).

Olympics, terrorist attacks, all a bit ironic from the past two days' news!

December 23rd release!?? Bloody hell thats quick! He managed to turn around WOTW in no time at all too!

Any way should be good, and certainly an interesting topic!

I like Bana, think he was one of the few plus points in Troy, was also good in the average Hulk and excellent in Chopper! :) Could be some good casting!

    Agree on Bana.

The quick turn around is probably because there won't be any need for much complex CGI FX which has been typical in Spileberg movies over recent years.

I'm also a big fan of Eric Bana. He was defintiely the best thing about Troy. Should be a good film, hope he's not rushing it though for a Dec release!

The real story following the Munich games incident is on Channel 4 tonight at 10pm if anyone is interested.

Looking forward to seeing the movie in the next couple of weeks.

So that explains why I saw a couple of male actors dressed as women talking to Spielberg on the set whilst I was watching last summer.
