    From www.dvdtalk.com

"One of the summer's biggest films in the box office looks to become one of the biggest DVDs with the announcement of Spider-Man 2: 2 Disc Special Edition on 11/30 featuring: audio commentaries with the cast and crew, a pop-up trivia track, four web-i-sodes, bloopers, a 12 part making of documentary, a multi-angle feature and more. Spider-Man 2 will also be released in a 'featureless" Superbit edition. "

    Ger,

That isn't the Superbit version - it looks like CDwow have used the worng artwork............If it were Superbit, it would have a DD5.1 and DTS soundtrack. The Superbit version of Spidey2 is This one , single disc.

Shame they're not doing a 2 disc Superbit. I'm sure people would be happy to pay a bit extra (50% maybe), rather than forking out for both & ending up with a regular bitrate version they'll never watch. At least they're releasing them simultaneously I guess.

Yip, I'd prefer a 2disc Superbit.... IIRC the superbit version I have of Spidey1 is a 2 discer (R3 ? can't remember - hopeless at the minutiae of this stuff....). I've gone for the Superbit version on CDwow though... loking forward to hearing that 8 armed git going "clump Clump" in glorious DTS !!!

Yeah, its disappeared and looking at my order status it now says REGION 3 (THREE) although my email confirmation definetly states Region 2 (TWO).

May end up cancelling this then, dont want the Region 3 version :(

Same here. I checked my email confirmation and it says Region 2, but "My Orders" on the website says Region 3! I will send them a mail and see what they say.

I might not cancel even if it is R3. In my experience CTHE R3's are identical to their R1 (except for subtitles of course).

It might not actually be that bad, if the R3 version is the same as the R1 release then it should have the same uncut version of the film plus all the same extra features where as the R2 release will most likely have the cut version of Spiderman 2 which was shown over here in the cinema.

Well I emailled them and they replied saying that I had ordered the R3 (they didn't say anything about my confirmation email listing it as R2). Its been pulled from the site since (they made no mention of that), so I am not sure what to make of this. I will hang on to the order until I find out what the R3 2-disc contains. If its the same contents/running time as the R1 then its a bargain (similar to the Hellboy R3 2-disc!!).

Just checked their website and they now have the Region 2 (£14.99/Nov 25) and Region 3 versions (£9.99/15 Nov) listed.

Also checked my details again and they have changed it back to Region 2, so it looks as though I will now get the Region 2 version for just over £7 ;)

imnotrich, same deal with me. my order details on their wesite show that i now have the region 2 set on order. all for the price of the r3

One other thing, the running times are confusing. The r3 is 124 mins,. i checked the net and it seems that theatrically (in the US) the running time was 127 mins. Does this mean that the r3 will be cut somehow, or just a mistake by CDWOW?????

it says that the r2 is 120mins. working back to NTSC time this gives 125mins. is the r2 cut by that much? i thought it was just a head butt or something.
