BTW the room is 13ft x 13ft .I want to cieling mount the PJ 4ft from the back wall so ill have 9ft throw. I also dont like looking up at a screen and prefer the centre of the screen to be eye level when seated.
Being totaly new to the prospect of all this your expert help would be apreciated. :)

I agree with gothmogs recomendations except for the essentials. I prefer a French lady, called Stella. :p :p :p

    Also check out Nexnix`s screens.

Well im a Stella man myself but the rest looks great. I take it that 69" screen is plenty for a room my size. (is that 69" of white or total?) I carnt sit on the back wall as thats where the door is so seating will be about 7-8ft from the screen.

69" is about the absolute max screen size acceptable from a viewing position of only 7/8' away.

IMO, a rear projection TV or plasma unit would be more suitable in your situation. Of course you already have a big TV, so.......

I have a DLP Projector User U2-1080, and a 42" Plasma, I find I use the Plasma and the Projector just gathers dust, have you thought about maybe buying a Plasma?? £1800 should just about cover it if you look round..... Otherwise are you interested in my Projector!! Cash of swaps, mail if interested....

you could always place your seating position against the other wall and have a drop down screen from the ceiling in front of the wall with the door - thus allowing you to sit further from the screen. I think you should be at least 1.5 x screen width, I have the PJ suggested by gothmog and I wouldnt dream of sitting that close!!!!
