I'm new to AV and looking for an audio solution for my PC and also to play CD's. I have decided on buying an integrated amp, 2 floorstanders and CD player. The best quotes so far seems to be:

    Deal 1 - £965
    B&W speakers 605 5,
    Arcam A65+ Amp,
    Arcam CD62,
    plus all cabling included.

    Deal 2- £1100
    Acoustic Energy Evo 3 speakers,
    Arcam A75 Amp,
    Arcam CD72,
plus another 25 or so for cabling.

    Deal 3 - £700
    Gale 3040 speakers,
    Marantz PM6010 K amp,
    Cambridge Audio D300SE CD,
    plus another 50 for cabling.

    Which is the better deal?

For the money can anyone suggest better than this that I can buy retail and new in London?

    Cheers

Try Rotel RCD02 RA02 and B&W 602s3 wuth good stands and cables should be <£1000 and any sevenoaks branch should help also try the B&W site for local dealers.

i have to say i would have the Rotel RA01 Rotel RCD02 B&W602 Apollo AZ* stands, and get the speaker cable and interconnects in wit the deal. probably cost you about 1000. the RA02 is the same as the RA01 but with a remote control and it costs an extra 100 quid.

Might it be worth spending a bit extra for the Quad 11Ls? I recently demoed them, the 602s and a couple of others and the Quads were phenomenonly better than the others.
