    I've very recently bought a pair of Triangle Antal ES + NAD C542 + NAD T 763
When my ampli is on and even though no source is outputing to the speakers I ear, whenever I approach my head to the speakers, a very distinct sound coming from them. Like a bit of static.
I was wondering if this is normal or if I there is some sort of coupling with the alim cables.
Can anyone help me with this.

    Thanks

It's a commom issue with NAD AV amps. There's nothing wrong with it, some models just do it. I have an Arcam AVR200 which is based on a NAD and it does the same thing. Don't worry about it. :)

I've recently bought a NAD T753, despite reading all sorts of bad things about hiss, hum and fan noise over on the ecoustics forum.

My 753 has none of those problems, it is quiet as the grave with no input.

I don't understand why some seem to be okay and others hissy.

Maybe your supplier can exchange the 763 for another one?
