Well i have recently picked this up on blu expecting to hate it and pass it straight on................

But i watched it on monday knowing nothing about the cartoon it is based and loved it,i then put it back on tonight and sat through it with my girlfriend who also loved it.

Now i know this movie got a really bad press and it probably a marmite movie and one of my guilty pleasures but does anyone else out there also agree that it is 2 hours of pure unadultered fun.

I haven't seen this one so I can't comment but I hated The Matrix. I loved Bound though.

    Cheers

    Since you asked...

There were some good movies last year and for me Speed Racer was certainly one of them. First at the cinema and even more so on Blu Ray since about September.

Watched it several times, the last being the day Lewis Hamilton became World Champion. I've since seen Lewis comment he saw his life flash before his eyes at the end of his race which I thought was funny since that's pretty much what happens at the end of Speed Racer.

So yes I'm a fan and you summed it up nicely.

I'm glad I'm not alone in this I love Speed Racer!! My boys really love it as well. The Blu ray is superb, yeah the soundtrack could've been lossless but to me it sounds glorious and the picture on this disc is pure demo material.

I didn't have as much a problem with The Matrix 2 and 3 that some people do and I also love Bound as well.

Enjoyed the film but not something I could watch repeatedly. I will say that the PQ is proabably the best I've seen on blu-ray so far.

If only WB would double dip with a new true hd soundtrack, the movie bombed though so i guess i stand about as much chance as a sequel.Lets petition warner for a sequel i would love to see more!!!

I have not watched this yet, the BD is on my rental list - I am not expecting Oscar grade material, but it looks like a blast and I am sure my lad will enjoy it.

Not sure if I will need a sick back and some shades though

Oh its not oscar stuff but if you take your brain out of gear for 2 hours i vote its about the best time you can have.Just like an extended racing game really but loads of fun and totally suitable for kids small and big!!

I also enjoyed Speed Racer I think it is a Blu Ray Title that everyone should own, even if it is just to show guests what Blu ray can do I showed my mates and they could not get over how good the pic was.

After Renting out lots of Blu Ray and buying couple of Discs Speed Racer and Casino Royle are the best lookers,Ratatoullie not bad either.

Don't forget the game disk:) This was my last Blu import ( £ exchane rate  got any Zimbabian groats anyone ) PQ is is good but warner did stiff people by sticking the film on a bd 25, think of the pq bump if they used extra space on a 50 not just for HD sound but better PQ

That kid brother who looked like an obese Corey Feldman circa The Goonies was a severe test of my patience, but this was a fairly fun flick otherwise. Stunning demo level visuals but what's with the lossy audio?

It's just a set of remote control games my 5 yr old loves them, but anyone older ....... Nice extra, but should not be the reason for this purchase . can't see
a double dip improving PQ or SQ. Film was just not popular enough.
