Is there any way I can record speech onto my HD3 as per a dictaphone? I think it can be done with some MP3 players but not sure about the HD3.

    Cheers

not that I'm aware of. You're better off getting

    a) a dictaphone

    b) flash/HD MP3 player with built in mic

    c) Sony Hi-MD player with record function. Do need to buy a seperate mic but that ensures best record quality. Uses 1gb discs that cost about £3 if you shop around online. Since Hi-MD hasn't taken off outside of Jap, players can be had for about £100. Don't pay more than £130

this is the "old" range: http://www.sony.co.uk/PageView.do?s...Walkman&site=odw_en_GB&page=ProductSeriesHome
    the "new" range: http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INT...lMusicPlayers_MiniDisc_HiMDWalkman&Dept=audio
yes I know its the US site - Sony UK are painfully slow at updating their site. I'm also annoyed the US site is nicer looking
    amazon shop - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/ref=br_ncs_/202-8565427-0267840
but use a price comparison site for cheapest place such as www.pricerunner.co.uk

*The Sony MZ-NH1 - top of the range for the "old" range if you get me - can be had for £110 only from amazon.uk so cheaply but their stock goes quite quick

OK thanks, I think that a dictaphone is the cheapest option.

    Thanks again
