I bought a nad c370 a couple of weeks ago to replace my Marantz pm4200 to go with some Mission 780s. The Missions have developed a fault and have been returned and refunded. So....what next? I found the Missions a little harsh at high end and at reasonably loud volumes. Any suggestions? I was looking at some B&W 602 S3s but I can't find them anywhere for particularly cheap. Or possibly some Monitor Audio Bronze B2s. Which of these would be better? And where can I find these quite cheaply? Would there be any other speakers I should take into consideration?
    Thanks for any help.

you should definitely try and demo the Quad 11l's and the dynaudio 42s.

i've listened to both of these with the 372? and they were both stunning.

The Quads are a bit more detailed and neutral, the Dyns are a lot more fun with a really sweet top-end..

    EDIT
forgot to add, I was listening to the MA silver S2s in the same demo, which came last by a long way.. not a patch on the other two..

The Mordaunt Short MS912 could be worth a look at £200 it is the bookshelf version of the highly regarded 914 and as you can see from my sig is my stereo speaker of choice. My amp isn't too dissimilar to yours either. It has a very natural tone and a great bass response. I have to say that on a decent pair of stands, I prefer it for stereo work to the 914. It comes in black and maple.
