What has people's experience been of buying speakers from Internet stores? I've never bought anything more complicated than a DVD player over the Net and am concerned about damage occurring in transit, returns if they're faulty etc. Was thinking about Superfi for their Aegis Evo 3B 7.1 speaker package.

    Thanks in advance!

It's no different to buying electronics over the net although you're more likely to need a demo of speakers. :)

Buy from a reputable and established dealer. I bought my speakers from Peter Tyson http://www.petertyson.co.uk/hifispeakers.shtml and the veneer on the centre speaker was damaged (came that way from Mordaunt Short apparently) --- it was replaced without question and quickly. I'm sure there are other good suppliers as well, but can recommend Peter Tyson.

Thanks for that info - had never heard of Peter Tyson. Will bear them in mind - I see their prices are competitive too, which is always good!

If you do a search for 'Peter Tyson' on these forums you'll find plenty of posts mentioning them. I only came across them recently myself, but then I've only just got into Home cinema :)
