Hi,

I would like to build a 5.1 setup, budget for peakers only is approx £500 including sub, thinking of using a Onkyo 606 AV amp.

I have to rule out Kef 3005 as its expensive, and I have heard that 2005 has known sub problems . I'm also aware that the 2005 is selling for 299 at HiperFi!

Any tips please

The SVS 5.0 package can be had for £399 as a powerbuy offer on the forum and although they are not the best lookers, offer a superb movie/music experience. There are plenty of positive reviews for these speakers on the forum.

This does not include a sub, but for £200-£300 you should be a ble to pick up a used Monolith or SVS sub to finnish of the package.
