I will shortly be taking delivery of a Panny 42 plasma and would appreciate advice as to what speakers I could connect to it. I do not want to fire up my full sound system everytime I watch just the news for example and I don't want to spend £300 on the dedicated Panny speakers. Ideally I would like keep them small. Any ideas?

I bought a pair of Ariston speakers from Richer sounds for mine, cost about £20 and they're more than up to the job for plain old stereo. Bit of a bargain really,

Many thanks NeilS - I've just looked on the Richer Sounds website and the Aristons look ideal (now £14.99).

    Try www.unbeatable.co.uk or www.linkonline.co.uk
    or www.ivojo.co.uk

They will sell the add-on speakers (and you should get these if you can else it'll look crap) for around £200.

Although Ivojo might get a bit crabby as you didn't buy the screen from them (assumption)!

    Good luck
