I am looking for some speakers for our new kitchen.

Ideally the speakers must be easy on the eye (wife friendly), wall mountable and have a frquency(hz) of approx 80-120k.

I only want 2 speakers and do not want a sub in the kitchen hence the frequency request. Are there any satellite speakers that would meet these requirements ?

Budget is approx £250 and our kitchen is 21ft x 12ft.

We watch films in our home cinema room so really just want a reasonable sound for music and general TV. Will probably link up the speakers to a Marantz SR4200 amp that is hidden away.

    Thanks,

    Rich.

They might be a little lightweight without a sub - I'd go for 600 S3's myself.

I will look at these suggestions in more detail.

A friend has also suggested looking at the Anthony Gallo nucleus micro and A'Diva speakers.

    Thanks,

    Rich.

Both of which will need a sub to do them justice. The same will go for any satellites.

Just out of interest, why no sub?

Without a reason it seems as if you're limiting yourself in your choices somewhat...

Appreciate that a sub would make most if not all satellite speakers sound better.

However, as per my original post, I have a home cinema room already and am not looking for audio perfection in the kitchen. I would get a sub if I could place it somewhere out of sight in our kitchen but that is difficult and if I did would probably impact on the effect of having a sub in the first place.

Currently the Anthony Gallo A'Diva Satellite Speakers are looking tempting. Frequency(hz) 76-20k is not bad and the speakers are quite small and look pretty good which is a bonus.

Thanks again for the comments, happy to take on more advice if anyone has some.

    Rich.
