Newbie help required. Just bought a Denon separates system off eBay (amp/tuner/tape/cd). Think it's over 5 years old - amp model is UPA-110. Didn't come with any speakers. Would be grateful for any advice on which front speakers I should consider. Got a budget of £150.

Sorry, that wasn't a really in depth reply was it? If you google around for reviews of either you'll find they are both good, though the floorstanders will have a bigger bass response, I'd guess. I'd get the MA Bronze B2 for a small to mid-size room myself, though for a larger room then maybe you could go bigger.

Another alternative would be to try to find a Mordaunt Short 904, 914, or 916 on eBay which are all cracking speakers. Other eBay type alternatives would include the B&W DM601, 602, or 602.5 or 603 (depending on price, and whether you want floorstanders.) Come in S1, S2, and S3 with S3 (series 3) being the newest. The MSs and the B&W ones would bother be excellent choices too. I guess my personal choices would be a MS914 or a DM601 S3 from that lot.
