In the breakfast room I have a Cambridge Audio One connected to my old pair of classic Heybrook HB1 speakers. The sound quality was more than adequate whilst eating my cereal however I have been been told that the HB1's on stands are too big and have been given an ultimatum to replace them with something smaller. In the dining room I have a pair of Acoustic Energy AE2's that are connected to an Arcam Delta 290 amp. My son tells me that this is now old hat but I thought that it sounded pleasant enough whilst listing to The Priests over my Christmas Dinner. Can anyone advise me of some compact speakers with or without a subwoofer that would make the Cambridge Audio One sound as good as is possible. Many thanks in advance.
