After much research, I decided to take the plunge with Denon 3910 and 3805, mainly for DVD's and some music. Any advice on what would be a good set of speakers to match.

How much is your budget and what type of speakers are you after?

Looking at something between £1,000 and £1,500. Will sacrifice some quality for looks. Floor or wall speakers but not your modern silver. Would prefer wood. Room is 4 metres by 8m.

The Monitor Audio Silver AV Range is a lovely range for speakers and would fit into your budget.
There i also the B&W 600 S3, KEF aswell i would try and arrange a demo for the speakers to see which you like sonically and visually.
The MA's would be at the top of my list though.

Avoid any metal tweeters with Denon amp for better results...

    Sugestion and I heard with the 3805... AElite 2 + 1 or 3 + 1

The MA's are good speakers. I started with S8's, Sfx's and a Gold Centre and slowly updraged the lot to GR20's, Gfx's.
Mine are partnered with a 3803 and I've been pleased with the results. As for the metal tweeters, I'd suggest you take a listen and see what you think, some people really like the sound, for others it a bit hard. It's certainly nothing you couldn't tune out with a good choice of cable, if you like the rest of the kit enough.

You could look at the Quads as well, fantastic speakers in appearance and sound, might be a little over budget for a full surround set up though, probably looking at about £1900 for a full set up including subwoofer, if you get a non Quad sub though, you could do it :).

I bought Mission 782SE set up with the matching centre and rears. Very happy. More so with movies than music though.

I bought some terrific speakers recently - Aurum Cantus Leisure 2 Monitors. They're made in China & sell for £900 here. Sloping, Sonus-Faber styling, ribbon tweeters, 13 coats of laquer. Very classy indeed. Look them up!

If you buy them direct, as my brother & I did, they cost about £230 per pair plus shipping or air freight, from Hong Kong. They weigh the best part of 10kg each & are as solid as anything. My brother got two pairs plus the massive centre speaker, to use with a Denon 2805 - he's delighted with it.

I bought a pair for the bedroom, replacing B&W601's, which they p*ssed all over.

You should have a look at PMC's GB1s and DB1S for the fron three.
