I want to put my 'old' sound system to use in my dining room, and want to replace the bulky black Technics speakers with something more smaller and "less black".

The old system is a Technics SC-CA10 (I think), which originally had pro-logic surround speakers attached. I'm just interested in plugging in a left and right now though. It's rated at 2x70W/4x50W, and the original speakers are 8 ohm.

I don't want to spend a fortune on them, and I was wondering if Tannoy MX or Mission M7/M3 bookshelfs would be a resonable match for the Technics? Or is there anything else I should consider?

    Thanks,

    Balders.
