Hello there

Well I went to speakers corner today.

I do feel it you are into charactor portraits or street photography, and you are in the London area this is a must place to visit.

Hopefully you don't get bored of these as I did take quite a few shots:devil:

This bloke had such a great face, and maybe I haven't caught them in this shot, amazing eyes.

I really thought I was going to convert a lot to B&W today, but this one just look so right in colour.

Here is another colour. I do like the natural smile in this one.

Decide to work on this one and convert it.

More to come:rolleyes:

All CC welcome.

Nice shots Frank - first is my favourite though the mono conversion works well too.

Thanks Jim for the comment:smashin:

Another from me.

Love the moment you've captured there Frank - great composition and framing - that really says "Speakers Corner" to me and the mono works well :smashin:

Hello there

Another close up from me. Do like the eyes in this one.

All CC welcome, I keep on forgetting to put RIA in the title, but I am big enough and ugly enough to take it.

Very nice shots, especially the first one as I think you have captured the energy of the speaker. Funnily enough this is one location I keep forgetting about, I must get down there again.

Hello there

I think you would like it down there John. You can park just off the Edgware Rd for free as well.

Another from me, this one was as tough as old boots to expose for, and I didn't mind blowing out the sky.

That last one is very good Frank - good subject too

Not so keen on the previous one but I do agree that you've captured his somewhat manic expression in the eyes :)

Jim

Hello there

Thanks Jim

With this next one I got down low and totally blow out the background, so I could get the correct exposure on him.

I really like that one Frank - great detail in the face textures - pity his jacket wasn't just a bit darker though :D as I think it would have given a bit more contrast and helped the composition.

The low angle really worked well IMO

Hello there

Caught this man deep in thought.

Maybe you two can have it out at Speakers corner and I can come along and photograph it.

Anyway, thanks all for all the great comments.

Just hope you are not getting bored yet as I have still got a few more to come.

Here is another, most probably the more common sort off shot more related to speakers corner. Also you can see the sort of sky that I had to play with, pure white.

Very nice captures Holo enjoyed them all! I just wondered if there is a corner of Baghdad where people share their opinions? :D

Well I don't think the bloke above would stand a chance with a yellow star pined to his coat.

Thanks Springer.:smashin:

Got to agree with you there Jim, the look really does add to the picture.

A close up from me next. Tried to focus on the eyes with this one.

Another good one Frank - the tighter crop work well IMO

Hello there

Thanks all.

Still more to come.

Another portrait, had to overexpose this one to get the exposure right.
