Hello, first of all this is my second post and i'm from Portugal so please execuse my english.
I have a dvd player/sacd player (philips dvp720sa) wich has dts decoder and dolby digital decoder built-in.
It also has 5.1 connectors on the back (rca).
I'm thinking of buying the pack from KEF KHT1005, witch is on sale, and i like the sytle.
This may be a stupid question, but i'm a novice on some areas of home cinema.
    My question is:
1- Can i connect the speakers to the dvd?
2- And if so would the sound be ok?

Of course that it would be better if i had an amplifier ( its on the shopping list, but for now just the speakers).

Thanks in advance for the anwsers.

You will not be able to connect the speakers directly to the DVD player as the signal that is output from the 5.1 connectors is low level only and needs to be amplified.
