speakers behind curtain!

    am moving house now the house were moving to ha s a window sill behind the seating area if the speakers were placed on the window sill would they still be ok when the curtains were closed????? there thick curtains

    I think the sound would be muffled as much of the sound waves would be absorbed or relected by the curtains. Also as they would be on a window sill a lot of energy would be transfered to your window and walls rather than out as sound waves, due to the speaker not being isolated (i.e. with spikes or other method).

    Try it and see you notice a difference, but on shear physics it won't be as good. What about wall mounting?
