    Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me on some good speakers to buy someone as a xmas present for around £300 he uses them mainly to listen to music and has a set of mission floor standing speakers already so something that will compliment the ones he has already :)

    Thanks,

    Corrie

If he listens to music then new speakers should replace the current ones, not compliment them. Tough question this one, you'd probably be better off giving telling him that your present is £300 for new speakers and let him audition new ones.

Not buzzwords, but essential questions everyone buying new speakers should ask:

    Room size? Floor covering?
What amp do you have? How loud do you want to go?
What types of music do you listen too?
Does your wife want them in her living room?
