Im considering to buy a DVD player, one of these wich has 5 speaker conectors (the pioneer 747 is my first candidate). My cuestion is:

if i want to plug home cinema speakers (center, subwoofer etc.) can i plug them directly to this kind of DVDs without an amplifier?

If it is so, could someone recomend me some speakers?

    Thank you!!!!!!!!!

    In short NO! :(

The outputs on a DVD player are at line level and therefore need to be plugged in via an amp/receiver. These connections mean you do not need a DD/DTS processor, just a 5 channel amp and speakers.
