    Hey

Been Djing for a while now and have started budgeting for a speaker set. I was in maplins last week and saw a really good bundle.

    2 x 300Watt Speakers
    1 x 400Watt Speakers
    Speaker Leads and Covers

Now the make is "ProSound" and only maplins seem to sell them.

For the music i play i think i would also need a sub so i'll look for that after.

This seems like a real good deal i'd like to get opinons before i buy this, i really want a skeaer/amp bundle so will have to go elsewhere if this set isn't good enough.

    Thanks in advance

Do you have a link so we can see the kit please?

What exactly do you want the kit for? Where will you use it?

TBH mate, I suspect they will work and will make a noise, but I'm not so sure they'll sound nice. You should be looking at spending a bit more cash on a rig you will be using semi-professionally.

I'd speak to a couple of experts in Pro Equipment hire or similar before I splashed out on some kit. Maybe hire a few sets for a couple of parties to see what these sort of packages are actually capable of and what sounds good/not good.

I suspect you'll quickly tire of the Maplins package and want to upgrade or even lose interest in DJing altogether.:suicide:

Think of the punters - nothing worse than a *****e sounding rig at a party. :lesson:

This might be a good starter setup:

    Gemini XTR-500 Powered System £450.00

We hired this bit of kit for a wedding last year and it was awesome:

    Citronic CLX Live System (550WRMS) - £850.00

    See them both here:

I'm no expert on this pro stuff, but a couple of members here will know more than I will. Good luck. ;)
