Speakerr for 37" PW7

I got a Panny 37 PW7 the other week.

I don't want to spend 250-350 on the Panny speakers.

Can I use other speakers?

I have a pair of speakers from a Yamaha NC100 package.

Could I use these instead for occassions when I don't want to power up the amp and speakers, e.g. watching the news.

Must I use the Panny speakers, could using the Yamahas damage the panel.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks

The spec in the user manual says 6 ohms for the speakers but any 6 or 8 ohm speakers will work ok, just that your maximum volume will be slightly lower if you use 8 ohm speakers (you probably wouldn't use it that loud anyway). Advisable not to use a speaker who's impedance is less than 6 ohms as you could overload the audio amplifier in the plasma.
