Speaker upgrade. Any help on which ones?

Hi all,

Same old question about setups really, I'm on the virge of upgrading my speakers, i previously had the sony sv.

They are going to be run from an Onkyo Sr804E

I had previously chosen the AE Aegis, then the Aelite, know I don't know.


My budget is about £1300 for speakers only.

I only really need 5.1 as I don't have anything that runs 7.1

Uses will be 95% movie 5% music.

I would like some floorstanders as they give the wow factor to guests.

They're lovely speakers if you have the room for them. I use the old S6's for my stereo set up. Love to have room for a full 5.1 pakage.

Why not try the MA R90 system? It's spot on your budget.

You can pick up the AELite package (in birch) for £899 on Ebay at the moment. These are coming direct from AE, mine were delivered on Saturday.

Not heard them, but that also looks like an excellent deal. I got the AeLites for £880 from AE on ebay. Arriving Friday. I have posted many times about these, more than likely because it's the first time I've spent so much and saved so much at the same time.
