Can't comment on the Yamaha nsp100 set up.

Mission do a well regarded setup (5 speakers + active sub) for around £250. If you got a bit more, say £500, Mordant Short have an award winning satellite package based around the excellent MS309 Sub.

    Hatcher.

Panasonic make a reasonable amp/speaker pack for £300 called the scht05
but for £300 you should be able to pick up an Yamaha RXV350 and NSP100, this would be better sound and would get even better if you upgrade the speakers later, but won't look as pretty as the panasonic!
