    Hi all.
First off, here is what I am listening through:
    Marantz SA8005
Rotel Pre + 2 Power-amps (in bridged mode)
    REL Serie T sub
    Sonus Faber Vebere 2.5 speakers

Here is a very, not to scale, layout of my listening area.

The room is around 12' by 14'. Normal (8') ceiling. The doorway to the kitchen is just open, no door. There is currently a bookshelf there (cd storage).

The issue I am having is with the sub placement (blue box in diagram).
REL says to position it in a corner behind one of the speakers, and pointing straight out along the diagonal coming out of the corner. Moving it in and out, equidistant from both walls until you find 'the' spot.
    Tried that. Not much luck.

Now, if I were to go into the kitchen, the bass coming out from my listening room is fantastic. In my listening room, the bass is rather lacking.
I'm no expert when it comes to speaker placement and would love some feedback, thoughts, suggestions, on how to possible better the low frequency issue I am having.

    Thanks guys.

What have you got the Xover on the T series sub set at? Where are you sitting in the room? Probably for your room you will have better integration pulling the sub towards the middle of the front wall....

I would download Room EQ Wizard (REW) and play with its room/sub placement tool - very handy for working out where you might be best to place a sub, although open doors and no rear wall might make things more difficult!! lol

From experience of using full range speakers in many different rooms (rather than subs) I'd say it's not uncommon for bass to reduce significantly somewhere around the middle of the listening space.

Looking at your diagram, I suspect your listening spot is approx (and I do mean approx) mid-way down the listening space (which includes the adjoining room as part of that space).

Unlike full range speakers, you have more flexibility with placement of a sub but if you still can't find a satisfactory position for it, maybe consider a complete reposition of gear and listening position - e.g. 'fire' across width of room and listen with the back of the chair against the wall.

Just a thought - have you done 'the sub crawl'?

Sorry for the late response...work has kept me from play.

I feel a little embarrassed. I was very careful about making sure I had my phase consistent, from source to speakers. Because of that, I didn't think to try the reverse phase switch (which was already reverse) on the back of the sub.

As you can guess, things fell nicely into place after that.
