Hi all. First off, here is what I am listening through: Marantz SA8005 Rotel Pre + 2 Power-amps (in bridged mode) REL Serie T sub Sonus Faber Vebere 2.5 speakers Here is a very, not to scale, layout of my listening area. The room is around 12' by 14'. Normal (8') ceiling. The doorway to the kitchen is just open, no door. There is currently a bookshelf there (cd storage). The issue I am having is with the sub placement (blue box in diagram). REL says to position it in a corner behind one of the speakers, and pointing straight out along the diagonal coming out of the corner. Moving it in and out, equidistant from both walls until you find 'the' spot. Tried that. Not much luck. Now, if I were to go into the kitchen, the bass coming out from my listening room is fantastic. In my listening room, the bass is rather lacking. I'm no expert when it comes to speaker placement and would love some feedback, thoughts, suggestions, on how to possible better the low frequency issue I am having. Thanks guys.
