just got my first home cinema set up and after many hours planning, surfing and setting up a small oversite - speaker stands.

i have a marantz sr4200 with the tannoy mx2 speaker package wired up with qed cable.

what cheap stands can anyone recomend and where from?
also can different stands really make much of a difference, same with filler, sand or synthetic stuff - is it really worth it in a modest set up?

    cheers

It is definately worth it. Get a pair of Atacama Nexus 6. Should be about £60 for the pair.

Raising the speakers so that tweeters are at ear level makes a big improvement.
Richer Sounds do the Atacama Nexus 6 plus cheaper ones.
Fill them with dried sand from DIY store. This will only cost about £1.

    Good luck
