I'm going to get some Wharfedale 9.1s to go with my denon DM35 (sounded soooo much better than either the denon speakers or the mission m30i) and am looking at getting some speaker stands for them. This is where i get confused - I dont know whether its worth paying approx £60 for something like the atacama nexus stands, or whether to get some cheap stands from maplin. Can anyone tell me how much difference i'd notice (if any)? And does anybody have any other recommendations?

I was also looking at getting Chord Carnival Silver speaker wire, but again i'm not sure whether it would be worth spending the money on.

    Thanks for your help,

    b

The main pupose of decent stands is to hold the speakers very firmly. If you can find some cheap stands which do this - buy them
