speaker stands, a couple of questions

    Just ordered myself a pair of atacama se24 stands to replace my shorter 'no name' ones. They came with a bag of what looked like limestone chippings to fill the center column.

    Whats the best thing to fill my new atacamas with ? (sand,limestone chippings,Atabites)

    Whats the best way to mount my speakers on the stands ?
    (spikes,blue tack etc )

    I always fill mine with kiln dried sand, but i dont think its gonna make to much difference what you use.
    I use bluetack for the speakers cause it does the job and it doesnt damage the speaker in anyway.

    you got stuff to fill it included!? nice one! :D

    if you have access to such things, and a very very solid floor, i reckon shot does the best job. Unfortunately, i cant use it...... the stand must have been upwards of a couple of hundred pounds filled....... x6 = collapsed floor i reckon! :D
