    Hi all.

Newbie here so please forgive any ignorance i may have! :D

    I have the following:

    Samsung PS42V4SKX plasma TV
Panasonic SCHT520 Multi-Region DVD home cinema
    Sky +

I have connected the SKy to TV via a QED sqart and the DVD to the TV via component leads. The TV has its own speakers fitted at present but I have now bought 2 floor standing speakers from a Sony SAVS300H system.
What I would like to do is remove the TV speakers and replace them with the Sony ones, this in itself isnt a problem BUT what I would also like to do is use these speakers as the front surround speakers for the DVD player as well.
What is the best way to go about this? I know I could simply connect the TV to the DVD player inputs but I dont want to be swapping remotes to change the channel and volume ( the wife struggles to grasp how to switch the things on as it is!)
Is it simply a case of putting the cables from both the TV and DVD into each speaker or will this cause some sort of damage??

Once again excuse my ignorance and thanks for any replies.

    Mike
