speaker set up strange helpppppp

hello all can anyone explane this i have just done a speaker test for 5.1 with the sky 3d test set up when it goes around on the test for the speakers the sound for the rear surround comes out of the front speakers so the front right is ok the front left is ok then when it goes to check the back the left sound comes through the left front and same for the right any help would be great thanks

How is your sky box connected to your amp? You need to use an optical cable if you want 5.1 sound as it will only send stereo sound via the HDMI.
Also what AV rciever do you have?

yammaha 767 i alredy have optical cable connected

when i connected the optical cable do i need to do any setting on the amp or anythin thanks

Yes, you will need to assign the optical input you are using to the HDMI input you are using for sky. You will also need to tell the amp to use the optical connection instead of the HDMI (often done using the input button to cycle between HDMI, digital and analgue inputs).
