    Hi
I've just bought some Bowers & Wilkins DM603's with grills, I also have a cat, and there is my problem

I don't want my cat using the grills as a scathing post but am worried if I remove the grills she will damage the foam on the speaker

Has anyone made some covers to use instead of the original grills, if so what material did you use

    Thanks

I would think a perforated metal grille is about the only material which is going to be cat proof and allow the drivers to move air - you can purchase sheets of it and then cut to size (or have someone cut and finish it for you).

Hi Joe, thanks for the reply, tbh I was just looking for covers i.e. some material to put over the speaker that can be removed when Im in and the cats out :)

I suspect giving them something else to scratch is the way to go.

I would have thought any slip over Loudspeaker covers such as you use for touring PA kit will be just as tempting for the cat!
