Speaker Placement

Hello All,

I'm looking for advice. I plane to redo our front room and i was hoping i could have an Atmos setup. I have done a bit of reading and have seen that some layouts don't lend themselves to an Atmos setup and that a decent 5.1 / 7.1 setup would be better.

Below is my layout. The Sofas are against the wall and the two doors don't lens themselves to wall speakers.

I have access to the ceiling so ceiling speakers are an option and the TV wall is going to be redone so i can do whatever i need to do to that!

Any advice on to what would be my best option would be great. I haven't got the speakers yet so any recommendations would be good as well.

Many Thanks in Advance

Given that layout I would use inwall or wall mounted speakers at the front and then a pair of bipole/dipole speakers on the rear wall behind the sofa in a 5.1 configuration. You could probably use some ceiling speakers for Atmos as well if you wanted and have easy access to the roof space to run the cables.
