Question Speaker placement, room complicated

I’m trying to figure out where is the best place to put my speakers. Our living room is a little bit complicated for speaker placement (See drawing below). My speakers are the JBL Synthesis 800 Project Array that I have on 12 inch solid stands.

I can't really move the sofa because it will block the passage to bathroom. The room is 4.35m (13 feet) wide where TV and speakers are and 3.5m (10 feet) "deep".

I’m also thinking of making at least a 5.1 setup, but I’m not sure where to put the surround speakers and the subwoofer.

Any advice would be appreciated !

I think your initial challenge will be finding a good match for those speakers being used as your fronts.

Once accoustic matches are identified, then you can look at locations.

Ok, so the challenge gets bigger.

Your 800's are an exceptional speaker, but being discountined finding a match for the front centre will be impossible for tonal and performance - if you can find one second hand an Array 880 would be its match, but again it is discountinued.

Our JBL Distributor actually said he would rather run a phantom system (ie no centre) than put up with a miss-matched centre in that system.

For sides and or rears, the current ranges of JBL HDI (on-walls) or SCL3 or 4's (In-Walls) would match tonaly to the rest of the Synthisis system.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your advise !

I'm planning to get a Project Array 880 center speaker and the subwoofer Project Array 1500 when I can find them for sale.

When it comes to surrond speakers, I was thinking if I could find something cheaper and someting smaller than the SCL-3 & 4 and also not in-walls, since I have no possibility to install them into the walls.
