image.png image.png View attachment 703595 View attachment 703594 Can anyone recommend KEF egg speaker placement.

Have mocked up the space (not to scale)

Do I just go for them in all 4 corners of the room up high away from the kids and the centre under? Or the centre above the tv to compensate for the fronts being high?

If the fronts go high do the rears need
to too or can that all be compensated for with the EQ mic / delays etc?

The fronts would be too high in the corners and so would the surrounds. Also speakers do not like being in the corner of a room either.
The fronts should be at head height while seated and the rears about 30cm above head height. The surrounds I would put on the side walls facing towards the sofa.

Unfortunately in my haste to hash together the outlay of the room
the door to the left of the sofa is flush with the wall and opens inwards towards said wall. There isn't that available unless I sink them into the wall (at the desired locations) with something above

In the front where the TV is, what is the distance between the Door and the Windows.

Also, if you have a TV in mind, what size TV is it? 42"? 50"? 55"? other?

Can we assume it is wall mounted?

Kef 'Eggs' (E305) or similar could be placed on the stand in front of and below the TV.

    KEF E305 5.1 Speaker System - Superfi

In a more bookshelf but still compact speaker, the Q Acoustic 3000 Series and the Dali Zensor Pico might work. If there is enough space, and it is hard to know for sure, but perhaps even the Dali Zensor 1 speaker (or similar).

Q Acoustics 3000 5.1 Home Cinema Speaker Package - Superfi

Dali Zensor Pico 5.1 Speaker Package with E9F Subwoofer - Superfi

Dali Zensor 1 5.1 Home Cinema Speaker Package - Superfi

But until we have the dimensions, it is hard to say what the possibilities are. But if the TV is wall mounted, and if there is a stand as shown in the images, then you could probably make small Satellite speaker work.

Also, we need a working budget for speakers.

Also, any idea what you will need for an amp, and how much you plan to spend on that?

Also, consider just getting a Stereo system. Much fewer complications, though of course, no Surround Sound.

Already purchased Kuro 50" (£380) TX-NR609 (£60) and KEF 2005s (£100 - no sub yet) - wall mounting was the idea.

Distance between the window and the door is 125cm (Kuro measures 122cm).
