All, I'm currently redecorating and want to lay some cable before they fit the new carpets. The rooms a bit of a funny one, but the attached pic shows my current thoughts. The rears are slightly infront of the seating as this unfortunately has to against the wall and there is a door to the left of the sofa. They could go right against, or even on the back wall if necessary. The fronts would mount on the side of the chimney breast and point forward (KEf eggs will do this I'm told). The rear centre (or centres if I go 7.1) are more tricky. The only advice I've had is to place it high up and angle it down towards the seating position. Any other ideas? As for cabling, is it ok to run cables directly across the floor (in grooves in the underlay, or do I ave to fart around running it around the edges (which unfortunately would have to cross a doorway which ever way I went). Any advice would be bloody useful as I have to finish decorating soon or I'm in trouble with the missus. Thanks.
