Looking to come into the surround market on a tight budget.
Can anybody recommend a speaker package for around £150 - £200
    Looking for something quite small.

Probably going to be running them off a budget receiver (Pioneer or Yamaha).

Have already contemplated the Mission M7s package which Superfi are doing for £200 inc 2 stands.

You should be able to pick up a Mordaunt Short Premier system up from eBay for around that...I paid a shade over £200 for mine about 3 months ago. Brand new/boxed from a place in Wales

A chance finding caused me to buy one of those for my PC, a couple of weeks ago, finlab.

    Verdict? :smashin:

Numpty appears to have a receiver already, though. Just in case it is relevant, the HTK doesn't have the greatest volume (though fine for near-field listening and/or a small room (mine's three by three metres), but I'm hearing details that just aren't there on my other system. Unless I cleaned my ears out...?

If it is just the speakers that you need, Numpty, forum postings would suggest that the Mordaunt Short and Tannoy options should prove fairly pleasing

Thanks for all the input guys.
I have now purchased the Tannoy FX 5.1 in silver and am very happy.
Only have a small front room so was no point in going for anything bigger.
Haven't properly set them up yet but first impressions are great.

NB. The link to the speakers for £180 are for the black set. Another £20 for the silvers

I paid £188.95 from RS................ along with my Pioneer VSX-c301 :smashin:
