What can I do to solve speaker hum from my PC (a Dell XPS210)?
I've linked it to my Arcam Solo with a 3.5mm jack to phono. I just changed the lead from my cheapo Maplin to Cambridge Audio (only £15), but it's not helped. I've also plugged my ipod into the same lead, and the hum disappears - suggesting the problem is with the PC, not cable or Arcam.
Admitedly I've got a mess of power cables behind the PC, but I've kept the Arcam power cable seperate, and tried to route the phono cable up away from the mess.
thanks for any advice
