It depends which M&K range you are talking about. I think that you may find the K range not as good as your existing speakers but above that level they really do start to sing.

    thanx for your reply ;)

Ive been to sevenoaks today and they told me the same thing that mine was better than the k range but they have a new xenon range which was due in anytime which was very close .

I was maybe thinking of maybe selling mine and trying to buy used m& k set off here for my size room and ideally id like speakers to be more compact size have you got any suggestions ?

    thanx

    al :)

the chap form sevenoaks suggested that my speakers were far too big for my room size and drowning out the sound ?? any suggestions about this ??

    thanx

If you want M&K's that are comfortably going to outperform the Kef THX package then look towards the S150THX package. I used to have the Kef's and changed to these as fronts with S85's as rears and they are superior in pretty much all aspects. :)

Thanx for the reply jase ,,

Unfortunately i cant really afford that at the moment .. wife kids house car :( :( .. not much money to play with ..

To be honest im only really thinking of the possibility of change because of the wifes moaning :( ,,

I dont think im going to get something as good to be honest without spending loads of money maybe i should set my sights lower ?? maybe i should be looking for a good sounding setup over a great one ?

    now im totally confused

    any thoughts are apprecaited

The answer is obvious to me when you consider that you love your speakers to bits and your wife is moaning about them.

how about 3 X M&K S-85's across the front?i heard them and they really are very pleasing speakers, to hear not to look at unfortuantely, but yeah small, compact and should be able to keep up/surpass performance wise.

After much deliberation .. ive decided to keep my astounding speakers ... ive just sat here and was blown away again ..
Its took me years of upgrading to get here .. and im happy :)
But ive had to give in to the mrs a bit and get rid of me big fat black wires all over the show ... but its worth it :)

thanx for all your thoughts :)
