Speaker foam repair

    Can this speaker be repaired? Its used in a bass box and its a odd 4.5 inch size 2 OHM and 40 watts

    Assuming it is a standard size, then likely it can be replaced. Foam Surround Rings are notorious for disintegrating, so there are speaker repair services that can replace the Foam Rings, and if you can figure out which ones you need, you can just buy the Foam Rings and repair them yourself ... assuming you are reasonably handy and have a good dose of common sense.

    Though there are several places available that will repair the speaker for you and usually at a pretty reasonable price. I believe Wilmslow Audio does basic Speaker Repair -

    Yep, have a look on Ebay. Kits for JBL 4.5" speakers should work, but at that size, it can be a little fiddly.
