    Hi,

I,m considering either the M&K K7 - Series speaker system or the Kef THX Ref system. I will probably be using the Denon 3802 Amp. Does anyone have either of the above or perhaps even the same set up ?

What do you think would be the pro,s & con,s of the suggested set up ?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Kev

KEF Reference, because it is British.

    :p

Both are excellent but I felt there was better performance and value from KEF on this one.

By far the best answer is to find a local dealer who stocks both brands and get a demo!
There really is no substitute for being able to make a/b comparisons.
If you cant find a dealer who stocks both, at least try to audition the two alternatives on the same day.
Other peoples opinions may help your decision, but trust your ears!

My vote goes with the MK K-series speakers. Just as good with music as the KEF THX reference, and much smaller and cheaper.

You'll want the K3 package with an extra pair of K4 tri-poles, cost you around £2,400 altogether.

Where do you live? We have the K3 system resident in our AV demo room, running off an Arcam AVR 200.
