Speaker cables +/-

    I know this might be a stupid question but when connecting speaker cables, can you connect any side of the 2 wires to any terminal as long as they correspond to the other end connected?

    And, does cable speaker have to be shielded as i'm going to have a tough time keeping each indvidual cable away from any other. I always thought/heard that as long as power and signal cables don't run parralel to each other its ok for them to touch/cross?

    Yes

    No, that's fine. Running parallel is fine too. The only thing you want to avoid is excessive coiling of excess wire. It's preferable to trim the excess off.
