I have cheap Cable Talk 3.1 and enjoy their mid-highs very much, voices, guitars, pianos... sound very musical, but the mid-lows could be sharper and more detailed...

I have been testing several about ten times more expensive cables, the last beeing the Kinder 4 TC. Their mid-lows are indeed better, but in the end they don´t sound as good as the 3.1, the wife´s reaction has allways been they are crap, the old ones sound much nicer...

Are we enjoying some kind of "distortion"

My system is quite good, TAG AV32R, Rotel amps, Arcam DV88 DVD and Sonus Faber speakers with 2 REL Stratas, and I think it deserves better cables, but, in the end, the cheapos always sound better :(

    Sujestions are welcome

If they always sound better why change them ?

Or is your wallet too fat ???

    You have a point Kev.

But, as I mentioned, I know it could be better if I managed to merge the good mid-highs of the Cable Talk with the fast mid-lows of the Kimber...

I really don´t have an urge to spend more money, but as I came this far...

I found what I was looking for, well, sort off... Santa came early this year with a pair of Deltecs Black Sixteen...

They cost 3 times what I was trying to spend, but the improvement is larger too, as if I added more drivers to my speakers, a LOT more bass, very tight and very musical too...
