ok, just ordered a denon 2805 and Acoustic Energy
EVO package 3B ( 5.1 ) but im un sure of what speaker cable's would be best to use.

i have hered of a few Van Damme Black, QED, & using CAT5....

any recommendations to want to spent too much, but need about 5m each for the 2 fronts, 5m for the centre ( if i use it and not the tv's built in speakers for the centre ) and about 10m for each of the rears.

also from what i have read i could get away with using a cheaper cable for the surround speakers and a better quality for the fronts, is this true?

also where would be a good place to get the cables from?

    best regards

Based on my subjective opinion I think you will do fine with standard speaker cable that you can pick up at electronic stores or a handy mart even. Either 2.5mm2 or 4mm2 would do just fine.

I would use the same cable for rears and fronts, or use 4mm2 for the fronts and 2.5mm2 for the rears (the latter typically being 'cheaper').

I'd suggest the Van Damme cable. You can pick up the blue version at Maplin (or order online) or get the Black version from a local custom installer. I got my black 4x2.5 (you'd probably want 2x2.5 unless bi-wiring) from Joe Fernand through this forum.

You could probably drop to 1.5mm cable if you want something more discreet for the rears.

The Qed is very good i think.

I have 2 lots here, one the cheaper variant, and one expensive.

Both test sizes of 2m or so
